Only five percent of organizations say they fully trust their security vendors. A field crowded with buzzwords and overstated capability has taught buyers to expect confidence with very little underneath it. Rampart Cybersecurity LLC was built on a plainer belief, that trust is earned in the fundamentals of how computing actually works, and that almost no one is willing to do that work anymore.
Where trust broke
The industry taught buyers to doubt it.
The skepticism is earned. In 2026, seventy-nine percent of organizations said they find it hard to judge whether a new security vendor can even be trusted, and sixty-two percent say the same about the vendors they already pay. The reason they name most often is that the information a vendor hands over is not factual or detailed enough to act on. The same causes come up in the research: capability claimed well beyond what a product does, and a shortage of evidence a buyer can verify. With every vendor sounding sure of itself and none willing to show the work behind it, buyers stop taking the claims at face value.
Why things fail
The breaches trace back to skipped fundamentals.
Look closely at what goes wrong and it is rarely exotic. Verizon's 2026 Data Breach Investigations Report tied sixty-two percent of breaches to a human element. Cloud breaches often trace to a misconfiguration on the customer's side, a permission set wrong or a default left in place, more than to a flaw in the platform. Year after year the same short list does the damage: weak credentials, unpatched systems, and services nobody was watching. Fortinet reported in 2026 that fifty-six percent of organizations blamed a shortage of security skills for a breach they suffered. IT projects fail on complexity and rushed work more than on the technology. Underneath all of it is a piece of hard, unglamorous work that keeps getting skipped, the work of understanding the foundation a system is built on before building on top of it.
Most of the industry lives in the top layer, the part a buyer can see. The failures begin in the layers beneath it, where the understanding runs out.

The firm is led by an engineer dual-degreed in cybersecurity and network engineering who has designed and hardened that full stack from the physical layer up. The work is slow and unglamorous, and much of the field has quietly stopped doing it.
